Result with use of Sancel in Tablet Making

 
Sancel is designed to lower the tablet ejection force so tendency of capping will reduce and result in significant improvement of the hardness and disintegration rate of tablets.
Sancel has maximum compressibility when the water content is at 7 % (w/w)
To increase the tablet weight uniformity and the flowability of the formulated powder mixture, a high density Sancel (0.38 to 0.5 g/cc loosely packed, and 0.45 to 0.55 g/cc packed density) may be used.
For coarse, granular or crystalline material that are difficult to compress, a fine particle size product with optimal moisture content may be used to enhance compressibility.

SANCEL WITH CAPSULE

In the case of gelatin capsules adapted to receive accurate dosed of dry powder medication, the dry powder may be formed into coherent masses of approximately capsule size by blending and pressing with the aggregates, thus avoiding the necessity of handling dry powder in connection with the filling and cleaning of the Capsules. The pressed capsule charge may then be placed as one piece in the capsules and may provide a more positive flow through the hoppers of the capsule filling equipment.

Sancel aggregates are of value in these preparations wherever less greasy products are required.

SANCEL WITH COSMETICS

Creams: Sancel can replace Almond oil, Mineral oil, Lanolin, Bees wax, Paraffin wax, and the like. An advantage of replacing at least part of such material is that the soiling tendency and oily or greasy feel of the cream is reduced. The glycerol content of finishing cream such as Vanishing cream, Foundation cream may be substituted by Sance! to provide increased opacity.

Cleansing lotion: Conventional abrasives such as magnesium carbonate may be replaced in whole or part by Sancel to reduce or eliminate the problem of settling.

Make up powder: Conventional Opacifying agent (Clay Titania,  Zinc Oxide etc.), A Slip agent (Talc, Kaolin etc.), an Adherent material (Stearates, Clay etc.) and Absorbent (Chalk, Calcium Carbonate etc.) may be replaced in whole or part by Sancel to reduce incidence of undesirable dermatological reaction, due to the presence of trace amount of Heavy metals.

EDIBLE GRADE SANCEL

Edible grade SANCEL is manufactured from selective species of wood pulp. SANCEL is available in four standard grades, generally differ only in their structure and particle size distribution. Powders are available with particle size distribution to 40 microns as well as fibrous grades with fiber size distributions up to 200 microns. Customized grades and blends can be manufactured and packaged for special applications. All SANCEL products meets U.S. Pharmacopoeia/National Formulary standards.
